[28.05.2026] Wojny Napoleońskie 28mm - Bitwa 1813 roku [25.04.2026 - Dom Kultury w Zabierzowie Bocheńskim]

Początek września 1813 roku. Wielka Armia próbuje powstrzymać zamykający się pierścień wojsk Koalicji. Po bitwie pod Kulm jednostki Francuskie, którym udało się uciec z okrążenia zbierają się na północ od miasta. Sprzymierzeni nie podjęli pościgu. Rosjanie pozostali na pozycjach po bitwie, a Prusacy wraz z jeńcami odeszli na wschód. Z północy nadchodzi kolejny korpus Wielkiej Armii, z zadaniem wyparcia sił sprzymierzonych. Tymczasem do Rosjan dołączył nowy korpus Austriacki i te siły współnie zmierzają już na północ, aby wypędzić resztki Wielkiej Armii z Austrii.
W krótkim odstępie czasu dojdzie do kolejnej bitwy pod Kulm. Sprzymierzni zostaną zaskoczeni nowymi siłami przeciwnika, a plan Francuski wobec przewagi przeciwnika szybko będzie musiał ulec zmianie.

Early September 1813. The Grande Armée attempts to halt the closing ring of Coalition forces. After the Battle of Kulm, French units that managed to escape the encirclement gather north of the city. The Allies did not pursue. The Russians remained in their positions after the battle, while the Prussians, along with their prisoners, retreated east. Another corps of the Grande Armée approaches from the north, tasked with dislodging the Allied forces. Meanwhile, a new Austrian corps has joined the Russians, and these forces are now moving north to drive the remnants of the Grande Armée from Austria.
In short order, another Battle of Kulm will occur. The Allies will be surprised by the new enemy forces, and given the enemy's superiority, the French plan will quickly have to change.

Bitwę stoczyliśmy w Dom Kultury w Zabierzowie Bocheńskim
Pole bitwy miało wymiary 11x3m.
Graliśmy według zasad systemu "Black Powder".
Celem rozgrywki było zdobycie większej ilości punktów lub złamanie 50% brygad przeciwnika do 10 tury.

Punkty (PZ) były przyznawane za:
- Kontrola wioski (Lewy sektor): 45 PZ.
- Kontrola Drogi między rzekami płynącymi z północy na południe (Środkowy sektor): 25 PZ.
- Kontrola mostów na drodze między wioską a wieżą (Środkowy sektor): 15 PZ.
- Kontrola wzgórza na wschód od wieży (Prawy sektor): 15 PZ.
- Złamanie wrogiej Brygady: 5 PZ.
- Zniszczenie wrogiej jednostki: 1 PZ.


*Za kontrolę terenu uznaje się:
- zajęcie terenu – jakakolwiek jednostka musi fizycznie przebywać na danym terenie,
- brak wrogich jednostek w odległości 6".

Założenia przed grą:
- rzeka jest terenem trudnym do przekroczenia.
- rzekę można przekroczyć normalnie po brodach i mostach.
- Lasy między odnogami rzek (niedaleko wioski) są terenem trudnym (mokradła). 		The battle took place at the Dom Kultury w Zabierzowie Bocheńskim
The battlefield measured 11x3m.
We played according to the "Black Powder" system.
The goal of the game was to score the most points or break 50% of the enemy brigades by turn 10.

Points (VP) were awarded for:
- Control of the village (Left sector): 45 VP.
- Control of the road between the rivers flowing north and south (Middle sector): 25 VP.
- Control of the bridges on the road between the village and the tower (Middle sector): 15 VP.
- Control of the hill east of the tower (Right sector): 15 VP.
- Breaking the enemy brigade: 5 VP.
- Destroying an enemy unit: 1 VP.

*Terrain control is considered to be:
- occupying the terrain – any unit must be physically present in the given area,
- no enemy units within 6".


Pre-game assumptions:
- The river is difficult terrain to cross.
- The river can be crossed normally via fords and bridges.
- The forests between the river branches (near the village) are difficult terrain (marshes).

Bitwę rozpoczęli Francuzi. I Tymczasowy Korpus ruszył do przeprawienia się przez rzekę w lewym sektorze bitwy. Do tego zadania zostało przeznaczonych 20 batalionów piechoty, 4 szwadrony jazdy i 6 kompanii artylerii. Pozostała część I korpusu i II Korpus zajęła wzgórza.

Z drugiej strony Sprzymierzeni postąpili tak samo.
The French began the battle. The I Provisional Corps moved to cross the river in the left sector of the battle. Twenty infantry battalions, four cavalry squadrons, and six artillery companies were assigned to this task. The remainder of the I Corps and the II Corps occupied the hills.

On the other side, the Allies did the same.

W kolejnej turze obie armie powoli zbliżały się do siebie. Ze względu na charakter terenu wolniej szło to w pobliżu wioski. Artyleria, która zdążyła się rozstawić rozpoczęła ostrzał przeciwnika. Rosjanie dość szybko zajęli strategiczne wzgórze na swojej prawej flance i nie oddali go do końca bitwy.
In the next turn, the two armies slowly approached each other. Due to the terrain, progress was slower near the village. The artillery, which had already positioned itself, began firing at the enemy. The Russians quickly captured a strategic hill on their right flank and held it until the end of the battle.

Bataliony Francuzów i Austriaków dość szybko dotarły do zabudowań i zajęły je. Wioska została podzielona na pół. Pół w posiadaniu Francuskim, Pół w posiadaniu Austriackim. Na obu flankach wystrzeliły muszkiety, w centrum trzeba było na to jeszcze poczekać.

Podczas tej tury Francuzi popełnili trzy bardzo poważne błędy, które będą rzutować na przyszłość.
Jedna z brygad po przejściu rzeki zwinęła się w czworoboki w obronie przed Austriacką kawalerią. Później jednak przez kilka kolejnych tur nie udało im się zmienić formacji.
Brygada Kirasjerów postanowiła skręcić i przez most wspaść na flankę Austriaków. Jednak rozkazy nie zostały do końca zrozumiane i wykonane. Co doprowadziło do dostania się pod ostrzał Gwardii Rosyjskiej. Ciągłe dezorganizacje doprowadziły w końcu do złamania brygady, która nie zrobiła nic w ciągu całej bitwy.
Brygada lekkiej kawalerii w centrum została oddzielona od macierzystej dywizji (ta operowała obok wioski) i zdarzało się dwa razy w ciągu bitwy zakońćzyć wydawanie rozkazów dla dywizji zapominając o tej brygadzie.

The French and Austrian battalions quickly reached the buildings and occupied them. The village was divided in half. Half was held by the French, the other half by the Austrians. Muskets fired along both flanks, but the center had to wait a while longer.

During this turn, the French made three very serious mistakes that would have repercussions for the future.
After crossing the river, one of the brigades folded into squares to defend against the Austrian cavalry. However, they failed to change formation for several subsequent turns.
The Cuirassier Brigade decided to turn and attack the Austrian flank across the bridge. However, the orders were not fully understood and carried out, which led to them coming under fire from the Russian Guard.
Continuous disorganization ultimately led to the brigade's breakup, which did nothing throughout the battle.
The light cavalry brigade in the center was separated from its parent division (which operated next to the village) and twice during the battle it happened that it ended up issuing orders to the division, forgetting about this brigade.

Lewa flanka Austriaków, a Prawa Francuzów stała się areną szarż i kontrszarż. W następnych turach w wyniku walk złamane zostaną lekkie brygady jazdy obu stron. Popełniliśmy tutaj jednak błąd, gdyż kozacy nie mogą szarżować na front wrogiej jednostki. Kawaleria Austriacka próbowała równierz swoich sił przy wiosce, ale nie udało się sięgnąć piechoty Francuskiej. Jednak ta widząc zagrożenie skoncentrowała swój ogień na zagrożeniu i wyeliminowała go. Z drugiej strony bitwy doszło do podobnej sytuacji jednak role były odwrócone i to Francuska kawaleria salwowała się ucieczką.
The Austrian left flank and the French right flank became the scene of charges and countercharges. In the following turns, the fighting would break the light cavalry brigades of both sides. However, we made a mistake here, as Cossacks cannot charge towards the front of an enemy unit. The Austrian cavalry also tried their hand at the village, but failed to reach the French infantry. However, the latter, seeing the threat, concentrated their fire on the threat and eliminated it. On the other side of the battle, a similar situation occurred, but the roles were reversed, and it was the French cavalry that saved itself by fleeing.

Jak już wspominałem jedna z brygad Francuskich na prawej flance zwinęła się w czworoboki i wobec mylenia rozkazów nie przekształciła formacji w kolumny. Wykorzystali to Austriacy. Ruszyli na te czworoboki i w walce wręcz znieśli jeden z nich. W wiosce próbowali też ataku na zabudowania. Z dwóch stron zaatakowany został jeden z Francuskich batalionów. Obronił się on bez strat własnych, a jeden z dużych batalionów Austriackich wobec strat, które poniósł salwował się ucieczką. Do końca bitwy żadna ze stron nie próbowała już ataków na zabudowania.

W centrum do walki ruszyły pułki Rosyjskiej kawalerii. Jedne z pułków Lekkiej kawalerii Fancuskiej podejmowały walkę, ale ją przegrywały, inne salowały się ucieczką. Widząc powodzenie ataku, dowódca Rosyjski ściągnął artylerię konną, która dopełniała dzieła robienia wyłomu w szeregach Francuskich. Rosjanie w tej turze złamali brygadę lekkiej kawalerii II Korpusu.
As I mentioned, one of the French brigades on the right flank collapsed into squares and, due to confusing orders, failed to reform into columns. The Austrians took advantage of this. They advanced on these squares and overran one of them in hand-to-hand combat. In the village, they also attempted to attack the buildings. One French battalion was attacked from two sides. It defended itself without any casualties, while one of the large Austrian battalions, suffering losses, retreated. For the rest of the battle, neither side attempted to attack the buildings again.

In the center, Russian cavalry regiments joined the fight. Some of the French Light Cavalry regiments fought back but lost, while others retreated. Seeing the attack's success, the Russian commander brought in horse artillery, which completed the breach in the French ranks. In this turn, the Russians broke the II Corps' light cavalry brigade.

W ostatniej 6 rundzie, którą dograliśmy, na prawej flance Francuzom udało się przeprawić pozostałe bataliony Francuskie przez rzekę, czworoboki zmieniły formację w linie i kolumny i dwie brygady rozpoczęły przejście do kontrnatarcia. Kilka batalionów podeszło pod kolumny Austriackie i skutecznym ostrzał z bliskiej odległości spowodowały straty w szeregch Austriackich. W centrum dwa bataliony Rosyjskiej Gwardii ruszyły do ataku na bagnety. Jednemu z batalionów nie udało się jednak dojść przeciwnika. Drugiemu się to udało jednak po drodze został ostrzelany z drugiego brzegu rzeki (z zabudowań wokół wiatraka) i z bliskiej odległości od atakowanego batalionu. Dzielni żołnierze 18 Pułku Piechoty Liniowej przyjęli ten atak pozostając w linii. Zdezorganizowany batalion Gwardii Rosyjskiej przegrał to starcie i musiał się wycofać. Natomiast po zejściu ze wzgórza i przypuszczeniu ataku Rosjanom udało się złamać kolejną brygadę Francuską II Korpusu.

In the final, sixth round, which we played, on the right flank the French managed to ferry the remaining French battalions across the river, the squares changed formation into lines and columns, and two brigades began a counterattack. Several battalions approached the Austrian columns and, with effective close-range fire, inflicted casualties on the Austrian ranks. In the center, two Russian Guard battalions launched a bayonet charge. One battalion, however, failed to reach the enemy. The second succeeded, but along the way, it was fired upon from the other bank of the river (from the buildings around the windmill) and at close range from the attacked battalion. The brave soldiers of the 18th Line Infantry Regiment met this attack while remaining in line. The disorganized Russian Guard battalion lost this engagement and was forced to withdraw. However, after descending the hill and launching an attack, the Russians managed to break another brigade of the French II Corps.

Analiza po bitwie:


Francja
- Jedna z brygad po przejściu rzeki zwinęła się w czworoboki w osłonie przed Austriacką kawalerią. Decyzja ta była zbyt pochopna i zatrzymała całą brygadę tak potrzebnej lekkiej piechoty przez 3 tury! Można było czekać na szarżę i dopiero wtedy pojedynczy batalion zwojać w czworobok.
- Brygada Kirasjerów miała do wykonania zbyt skomplikowany manewr. Powinna od razu kierować się w stronę mostu. Decyzja o osłonięciu się lasem i późniejszym zwrocie przy rzucaniu rozkazu dla każdego z pułku osobnego rozkazu zatrzymała brygadę w miejscu.
- Artylerię, brygady wchodzącej do miasta można było skierować na drogi w wiosce i ostrzeliwać budynki. Próba obejścia nią wioski i skierowanie na wzgórze nie udała się do końca gry.
- Brak skierowania choćby jednego batalionu do lasu w centrum pozbawił centrum skutecznej ochrony od szarż kawalerii Rosyjskiej.
- Oddzielenie brygady jazdy (operowała w centrum) od reszty dywizji (w okolicy wioski) w ferworze walki spowodowało, że kilka razy zablokowana została możliwość ruszenia tej kluczowej brygady i ustawienia jej w lepszy sposób, gdyż wydawano już rozkazy kolejnej dywizji.


Austria i Rosja
- Austriacy dobrze wykorzystali posiłki Rosyjskie w postaci kozaków.
- Próby szarż kawalerii wokół wioski nie uzyskiwały powodzenia, ale nie były wspierane przez piechotę. Był na to czas, gdyż przez większość czasu Francuzi nie byli w stanie podciągnąć swojej artylerii a część jednostek miała problemy przy przeprawie na drugi brzeg rzeki.
- Austriacy mogli też wcześniej zaatakować czworoboki Francuskie. Istniała duża szansa na złamanie całej brygady. Gdy jednak ruszyły, okazało się to za późno, ponieważ przez rzekę przeprawiła się już prawie cała kolejna brygada tej dywizji.
- Rosjanie jak zwykle dobrze wykorzystali swoje brygady kawalerii uformowaną w duże pułki wraz z potężną artylerią.

Post-battle analysis:


French
- One of the brigades, after crossing the river, collapsed into squares to protect itself from the Austrian cavalry. This decision was too hasty and held up an entire brigade of much-needed light infantry for three turns! They could have waited for the charge and only then collapsed a single battalion into square.
- The Cuirassier Brigade had too complicated a maneuver to perform. They should have immediately headed towards the bridge. The decision to cover themselves with forests and then turn while issuing separate orders for each regiment stalled the brigade.
- The artillery of the brigade entering the town could have been directed to the village roads and shell the buildings. An attempt to bypass the village and advance onto the hill failed for the rest of the game.
- The failure to deploy even a single battalion to the forest in the center deprived the center of effective protection from Russian cavalry charges.
- The separation of the cavalry brigade (operating in the center) from the rest of the division (around the village) in the heat of the battle resulted in several occasions when the possibility of moving this key brigade and positioning it in a better way was blocked, as orders were already being issued to the next division.

Austria and Russia
- The Austrians made good use of Russian reinforcements in the form of Cossacks.
- Attempts at cavalry charges around the village were unsuccessful, but they were not supported by infantry. There was time for this, as the French were unable to bring up their artillery for most of the time.
- Attempts by cavalry to charge around the village were unsuccessful, but they were not supported by infantry. There was time for this, as the French were unable to bring up their artillery for most of the time, and some units had difficulty crossing the river.
- As usual, the Russians made good use of their cavalry brigades, formed into large regiments, along with powerful artillery.
