Wrzesień roku 1813 Dolny Śląsk. Marszałek Suchet na czele swojego sformowanego na prędce Prowizorycznego Korpusu dostaje za zadanie obronę przełęczy przez którą na tyły Armii Francuskiej stara się wyjść Korpus Rosyjsko-Austriacki w celu sparaliżowania szlaków zaopatrzeniowych Armii Francuskiej. |
September 1813 Lower Silesia. Marshal Suchet at the head of his hastily formed Provisional Corps is tasked with defending the pass through which the Russo-Austrian Corps is trying to emerge from the rear of the French Army in order to paralyze the supply routes of the French Army. |

Bitwę stoczyliśmy w Muzeum i Centrum Ruchu Harcerskiego / Muzeum Krakowa, a dokładniej w
fort 52a Jugowice części Twierdzy Kraków.
Pole bitwy miało wymiary 6x2,4m. W niektórych miejscach na 2,5m, gdyż z powodu niewystarczającej ilości stołów dołożyliśmy drewniane płyty. Graliśmy według zasad systemu "Black Powder". Celem rozgrywki było kontrolowanie punktów zwycięstwa, czyli pin na polu bitwy. We fought the battle in the Museum and Center of the Scouting Movement / Museum of Krakow, more precisely in fort 52a Jugowice, part of the Krakow Fortress. The battlefield was 6x2.4m. In some places, 2.5m, because of the insufficient number of tables, we added wooden slabs. We played according to the rules of the "Black Powder" system. The aim of the game was to control victory points, i.e. the pins on the battlefield. |

Bitwa ta była przy okazji wprowadzeniem w system nowego kolegi w naszym gronie. Przyprowadził on jeden pomalowany przez siebie batalion - resztę brygady otrzymał pod komendę. Zachęcamy go do szybszego malowania, bo następnym razem będzie grał tylko tym jednym batalionem :P
Inicjatywa była po stronie sprzymierzonych i to oni rozpoczęli bitwę. Jegrzy rosyjscy szybko zajęli las w centrum pola bitwy, pozostałe brygady nie ruszały się tak ochoczo. Austriacy powoli, ale systematycznie posuwali się naprzód. Francuzi mocno ruszyli do przodu w centrum, na lewym skrzydle artyleria wysunęła się na przód, ale nie nadążyła za nią piechota. Prawe skrzydło zajęte przez kawalerię Francuską i Księstwa Warszawskiego oprócz Brygady Kirasjerów nie zrobiło wielkich postępów. |
This battle was also the introduction of a new colleague in our group into the system.. They brought one battalion painted by themselves - the rest of the brigade was received under command. They were to be cleaned, because together it will be recreated only with this one battalion :P
The initiative was on the side of the allies and they switched the battle. The Russian jagers quickly occupied the forest in the center of the battlefield, the other brigades did not move so eagerly. The Austrians slowly but steadily advanced worse. The French moved forward in the center, on the left wing the artillery is moving forward, but the infantry could not keep up with it.The right security occupied by the French cavalry and the Duchy of Warsaw, apart from the Cuirassier Brigade, does not apply the powerful advances. |

Druga tura rozpoczęła się od szarży kawaleryjskiej Dragonów na artylerię Francuską. Mimo odparcia ogniem z kartaczy jednej z szarż, druga przyniosła sukces i zmiotła wszystkie działa ze wzgórza.
Huzarzy Austriaccy zostali zatrzymani przez czworoboki w centrum. Granicznicy Austriaccy zajęli drugi las w centrum. Pozostałe jednostki powoli posuwały się naprzód. Sukces osiągnęła Austriacka artyleria, która celnym ogniem oczyściła wzgórze przed Kościołem z artylerii Francuskiej. Francuska jazda rozpoczęła serię kontrszarż na swoim lewym skrzydle, które nie przyniosły większych skutków. W centrum Jegrzy Rosyjscy zostali wypchnięci z lasu. Czworoboki piechoty ostrzelały Huzarów Austriackich, czego nie wytrzymał jeden Abtailung i opuścił pole bitwy. Kirasjerzy Księstwa Warszawskiego i Francuscy przepędzili z pola dwa pułki kozaków. Ostrzał Ułanów Austriackich przez dwa bataliony Starej Gwardii spowodował ich ucieczkę na tyły z maksymalną ilością ran i dezorganizacją. Nie wrócili już do bitwy. |
The second round began with a cavalry charge of the Dragoons against the French artillery. Although one of the charges was repelled by grapeshot, the second one was successful and swept all the guns off the hill.
The Austrian Hussars were stopped by the squares in the center. The Austrian Border Guards occupied the second forest in the center. The remaining units slowly advanced. The Austrian artillery achieved success, clearing the hill in front of the Church of the French artillery with accurate fire. The French cavalry began a series of countercharges on their left wing, which did not bring any major results. In the center, the Russian Jegrzy were pushed out of the forest. The squares of infantry fired on the Austrian Hussars, which one Abtailung could not withstand and left the battlefield. The Duchy of Warsaw and French cuirassiers drove two Cossack regiments from the field. The Austian Uhlan fire by two battalions of the Old Guard caused them to flee to the rear with a maximum number of wounds and disorganization. They did not return to the battle. |

W kolejnych turach przy niezbyt żwawych ruchach piechoty rosyjskiej w centrum, kolumny Francuskie prowadziły celny ostrzał nadciągających Rosjan, powodując wśród nich straty.
Huzarzy Francuscy szarżowali na piechotę Rosyjską a gdy ta zwinęła się w czworobok kolumna piechoty wypchnęła ich poza skrzyżowanie. Austriacy, którzy podjęli decyzję o wyjściu z lasu natychmiast dostawali się pod celny ogień Francuskiej piechoty.
Na tym odcinku to Francuzi zdobywali przewagę.
Na Francuskim lewym skrzydle w pojedynkach lekkich brygad kawalerii (chociaż Rosyjska tylko z nazwy była lekką, gdyż miała 2 pułki Dragonów), górę wzięli Rosjanie i rozbili brygadę przeciwnika. Powstała wyrwa w liniach wojsk Francuskich. Prawe skrzydło zdominowane przez kawalerię stało się świadkiem wielu pojedynków kawaleryjskich. Próba szarży Kirasjerów Księstwa na artylerię brygady kozackiej skończyła się fiaskiem (potrzebne były 3 ruchy, kości dały 2 i szarża zatrzymała się centymetr przed działami). Dało to możliwość wyprowadzenia szarży Kirasjerom Austriackim na bok Kirasjerów Księstwa Warszawskiego, co dla tych drugich nie skończyło się dobrze. W międzyczasie wyparty został kolejny Pułk kozacki, który próbował szarży na piechotę Starej Gwardii. Wypchnęli go Ułani Księstwa Warszawskiego. Austriaccy Kirasjerzy w kolejnej bitwie kawaleryjskiej wbili Kirasjerom Księstwa Warszawskiego pełną pulę ran co spowodowało złamanie brygady. W końcu do walki weszła brygada dragonów (2 jednostki), ale i oni nie zdziałali wiele. Po próbach szarż na Kirasjerów Austriackich brygada Dragonów została złamana i musiała opuścić pole bitwy. Na koniec mały oddział Lansjerów z Brygady Dragonów wdał się walkę z jednym z Pułków Austriackich Kirasjerów i zakończył ich zmagania w tej bitwie. |
In subsequent rounds, with the Russian infantry not very briskly moving in the center, the French columns conducted accurate fire on the approaching Russians, causing losses among them. The French hussars charged at the Russian infantry and when it rolled into a square, the infantry column pushed them beyond the crossroads.

This gave the Austrian Cuirassiers the opportunity to charge the flank of the Duchy of Warsaw Cuirassiers, which did not end well for the latter. In the meantime, another Cossack Regiment, which tried to charge the infantry of the Old Guard, was pushed out. It was pushed out by the Duchy of Warsaw Uhlans. In another cavalry battle, the Austrian Cuirassiers inflicted a full pool of wounds on the Duchy of Warsaw Cuirassiers, which broke the brigade. Finally, the Dragoon Brigade (2 units) entered the fight, but they did not achieve much either. Prawe skrzydło francuskie już prawie nie istniało. Dywizja ciężkiej kawalerii została spędzona z Pola bitwy. Pozostał tam tylko jeden Pułk Ułanów Księstwa Warszawskiego. Przeciwnicy też mieli tam już niewiele sił. Zostało tylko kilka band kozaków i Pułk Kirasjerów Austriackich na granicy maksymalnej ilości ran. Stara Gwardia już powoli wycofywała się w kierunku Klasztoru, aby tam zorganizować obronę i zapobiec wyjściu kozaków na tyły. Środek trzymał się dzielnie, strzelał celnie i wyprowadzał dobre ataki. W następnej turze w wyniku ostrzału prawdopodobnie z pola bitwy zeszliby Huzarzy Austriaccy (3 z pozostałych abtailungów były już poobijane) co spowodowałoby pęknięcie kolejnej brygady. Lewe skrzydło Francuskie w wyniku pęknięcia brygady kawalerii zostało odosobnione i groziło jej otoczenie. Biorąc pod uwagę punkty zwycięstwa, które rozstawiliśmy przed bitwą i straty poniesione w bitwie wygrali sprzymierzeni. Chociaż ciekawie byłoby dograć bitwę do końca, ponieważ Francuskie bataliony w centrum z małymi wyjątkami były prawie nietknięte. |

The opponents also had little strength there. Only a few bands of Cossacks and the Austrian Cuirassier Regiment were left on the verge of maximum wounds. The Old Guard was already slowly retreating towards the Monastery, in order to organize a defense there and prevent the Cossacks from leaving the rear. The center held bravely, shot accurately and launched good attacks. In the next turn, as a result of the fire, the Austrian Hussars would probably leave the battlefield (3 of the remaining abtailungs were already battered), which would cause another brigade to break. The French left wing, as a result of the cavalry brigade breaking, was isolated and threatened to be surrounded. Considering the victory points we had set up before the battle and the losses suffered in the battle, the Allies won. Although it would have been interesting to see the battle through to the end, since the French battalions in the center were almost untouched with a few exceptions. |
